Question 04 Solara audio input?

My friend has a 04 v6 with the jbl sound system(wasn't sure if this was an option or not) and wants an aux input installed for his mp3 player. I was doing a lot of searching and found the the blitz safe converter http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_s...UX_DMX_V2.html .

I wanted to know if anyone on here has used it or could recommend something else. Also is there any DIY on how to remove the dash to get behind the cd changer?

It's been more than two weeks since your post and you probably have things sorted out by now but, just in case....It's very simple to install audio jacks on the car to plug in an mp3 player. Check this web page for details: http://www.gadgetjq.com/solara/audio_aux.htm

Sorry, I don't have any experience with the module you mentioned but the TOY module works great and is easy plug-n-play.

Cheers

Thank You. I've been looking for a DIY like this. The part just came in the other day so I haven't attempted it yet and I really didn't want to do it without some instructions. I just put one of these in my g35 and I love it. It's a great and cheap alternative to putting a new HU.

Thanks again

*edit*

Update: just tried to install the BlitzSafe aux input in my friends Solara and the directions you provided worked great for getting behind the radio but the product doesn't work. It plugs into the open port behind the radio but the headunit doesn't pick it up. When I took it out of the package it seemed like it was poorly made and that the solder points inside of it could easily be broken. I'm sending it back to get the TOY model.

Ok so I contacted BlitzSafe tech support and they were no help, however the tech support at Enfig were very helpful. It turns out that I ordered the wrong one, but there is a chance it will fit in my dads 07 Rav, so it might just work out.

My friends Solara is SAT ready which I didn't realize was an option for the car. I thought they all came SAT ready. So for anyone wanting to add an AUX input for their MP3 player here is the site:
http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_s...l/toy_aux.html

If your car is SAT ready then you need this model:
PIE Precision Interface Electronics TOY03-AUX/S
