My fiance has an 07' Solara. She has normal halogen bulbs and rather than fitting a crappy ebay retro fit hid kit that will probably die in a year I was looking at the OEM toyota ones..

If I could find another that would be great but that is what I am looking for...
I did some research and it looks like the ballast goes on the bottom of the headlight which is just like my car (05' sti) and I am ok will drilling the hole for the housing so the wires and grommit can go through,..etc.
OR
I could pay $200 per head light on ebay and get them already with ballasts and bulbs installed from say a doner car or take off...
Are the hids going to be that much better than the oem halogens? Right now when I drive her car I can hardly see... I did a retro fit on my car and have honda s2000 projectors with philibs d2s bulbs and it's like God is shining light in front of me..lol
Just wanted to get input on or where the best place to get the oem toyota HIDS(Xenon) lights from.
Also, I have noticed that her headlights are silver in color and the ones I am finding on ebay are black in color... did toyota change the inside housing colors?
