Alignment issues with 2004 Solara

So I've got a 2004 Toyota Solara 4cyl with possible alignment issues. I purchased the car used, and tried to take care of everything I could think of including getting a lifetime alignment at a local Firestone.

All 4 of the original tires were showing thread. In my youth I remember having this problem after lowering my Honda Prelude. Well after about another year the 2nd set of tires (Firestone brand) were showing signs of the same problem, and they were all wearing the same. I couldn't find any signs of cupping, nor were there any other signs of wear that were different from tire to tire.

Now I'm on my 3rd set of tires and I can tell they are wearing again. They aren't showing any thread (yet) but I plan on getting them flipped to help extend the life of the tires. Does anyone have any suggestions? Firestone says it is within alignment specs, and I haven't lowered the car. In fact I had all 4 struts replaced (with OEM parts) about a month after purchasing the Solara.

Can anyone help?

I'd also suggest you consider changing brands of tires. Go to Tire Rack to read their test results and comments from owners. I've got 140k miles on my 05 Solara. The tires I've found which wear the best and give good handing are Cooper's All-season. I replaced my last set in October, after 50k miles of usage. If all four of your tires are showing similar wear, then your alignment is OK. You're just getting what the tires have to offer. Good luck. Hy
