noises from accelerating and turning car off.

Hi All,

I am having issues identifying the causes of my car problems. See youtube video for part of the issue.

The problem is this noise that permeates throughout driving. At first I could only hear it when I turned the car off. I thought it was my alternator but I switched it and the same issue occurs. Recently as I hit the accelerator ( and sometimes the brake to decelerate) the same type of whistling noise I hear.

P.S. Car is a 4-cylinder.

Can anyone help me identify this problem??

I can't tell from the video which sound you're referring to. Off the top of my head, if it's a whiny noise, maybe it's electrical interference such as from cell phone. Or air intake leak.

If it's that nasty grinding noise, could be the AC compressor clutch

If it's a whine, especially when you're turning, check the power steering fluid and pump.

How are your belts, new? Correctly tensioned?
