Okay, the glass in my convertible top broke nearly two years ago and I removed the top in order to replace it myself... What a mistake! Anyway, the new top is on now and I'm finishing up the trimwork only I have a piece that I can't match to anything.
It is a flat black metal piece with 6 holes and there are two of them - one for each side. It is 21.5" long.

Does anyone know what this piece is and where it goes? I went to the dealership and they printed out a lousy schematic and I still can't tell what it's supposed to attach to.
I would be most grateful for any hints...
