Desperate: Front exhaust pipe replacement does not fit

Hey guys,

I own a car with following specs:

- Solara Gen1, year 2000
- Built in Canada
- California Emissions Label under the Hood
- 3.0 V6 SLE
- Automatic Transmission

My problems:

- Flex Pipe leak
- Replacement Front exhaust y-pipe is about 2 inches too long on the front end, according to mechanic (compared stock pipe with new pipe, couldnt install it).

I bought this part: http://www.1aauto.com/1A/CatalyticCo...tm_content=CCD

Can you guys tell me what I did wrong? This pipe is from Bosal. It was shipped extremely fast and the customer service of 1a auto is amazing. The refund is already in works.

I need to get the right part for my car, but I don't see how the pipe can be 2 full inches too long. According to the website, it fits all my specs.

Please help me out with this, I am desperate.

Did you compare part numbers on the box? Sounds like they may have sent you a fed spec y pipe. A simple cut and re-weld would be the easiest and quickest option.
