I still have the hitch and carrier I removed from my 05 Solara. I really don't want to throw it out, so, anyone who can use it, make me an offer. I know UPS shipping is about $35, so figure that as added to the offer, or you can pick it up here in Long Island and save the shipping. Contact me through the forum.
I sent you a reply earlier today from my phone, but I don't see it listed so I'm not sure you got it. Anyway, I will check on the make and model number tomorrow; the hitch is in a box in my shed. I do know it fits the 04-09 Solara coupes perfectly and probably the convertibles as well. I'm pretty sure its a class II hitch though that's more towing weight than the car can handle. It bolts on with 4 or 5 bolts to threaded holes which are already there. You remove the two bolts holding the resonator, replace them with longer bolts (included) which bolt up the hitch and the resonator, and bolt up the left side with supplied bolts. Should take 15 minutes to install. By the way, I only used it twice, to tow a flat bed 4'x6' rental trailer carrying a used V8 engine for a boat I was refurbishing, once to my house where i worked on the engine and once to the marina where the boat was stored. So, it's basically brand new. The hitch ball is used; I got it from my brother. I'll email you tomorrow.
I opened the box and checked the hitch. It is a Reese Hidden Hitch, model # 90652, class II, complete with carrier, bolts, hitch, and ball. The retail price on a new one, without the ball, is $183-$189. Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours. Hy

Hello Hy,
That is the Hidden Hitch model for my 2004 Toyota Solara coupe. I'm going to be using it for my Allen bike rack. I was really hoping that it was the Curt class II for two reasons: 1) I have always liked Curt hitches and not been a great fan of Hidden Hitch (they seem to rust and corrode faster than the Curt products) and 2) the Curt has a 350 pound tongue weight rating versus 300 for the Hidden Hitch. This makes a difference when using a 1 1/4" to 2" adapter (which I will need to use) because you lose half the tongue weight rating because of the adapter. I can get the Curt delivered to my door for just under $145. I'm thinking $85 including the shipping but I want you to check the shipping cost to you first so this is not too onerous for you. I'm assuming from what you say that this Hidden Hitch is in virtually brand new condition. Let me know.
I can get over to the UPS office within the next few days, but I need a city, state, and ZIP code to get estimated shipping charges. If you give me an email address, i can attach a photo of the hitch. You can contact me directly at: littlebookworm@optonline.net Hy
