will this fit the gen 4 camry's? and is this for the i4 or the v6?

short ram = bullcrap, inless you have a heatshield or made one.... then its not a bad idea if you bought the darned thing off ebay for under 30$.

does the heat shield make that much of a difference? how would you position it to get the best gains?

there is not much of a diffrence its not really even worth it.
