Minor mods, current gen solara, suggestions?

This vehicle will be coming into my family shortly, so I'm looking to do some minor mods to ehance it. It would be the SE V6 and will likely have the sport package. Please suggest any worthwhile minor mods that don't harm the daily driveability of the car (This will not be MY daily driver, so something like a supercharger and a full 3" exhaust is out of the question)
The restrictions that I have are pretty much those that any of you would have when modding a family vehicle:
No body kits, keep the exhaust quiet, keep the ride quality suitable (so no full coilovers, but shock & spring combo is okay) and don't hurt fuel economy TOO much.

I don't know much about this car, but I know that every car is different, and there's always the little mods that go a long way, that's pretty much what I'm asking for here, please list your suggestions.

Also consider that I'm on a tight budget, since I'm working on turbo-ing my KA-powered 240sx.

Clear corners sound good to me, not sure about custom grille, I like the stock one quite a bit.
I'm mostly thinking handling with a small helping of performance and looks.

lower it, you will notice a huge difference in the look, and a bit with the handling to, for more handling improvements, get a thicker rear sway bar

clear corners, HID kits would look awesome. Tints, I like the stock rims but some people dont and some goes with the stereo system. Grills can be made. Shave off the side V6 emblems. A cold air intake can somewhat help fuel econ. For handling. a strut bar would be nice, 20$ roughly. Springs and shocks can work but you know your giving up comfort for that either way. You can change all the LED bulbs in the whole dash to another color.

What does the sport suspension give you? Is it a pretty decent one? I know that you're supposed to do shocks too if you do lowering springs, since most stock shocks kinda suck, but are the ones you get with the sport suspension good enough that I don't have to change them?
Tints I'm definitely gonna do, and prolly rims (not a fan of the stockies at all). The stereo I don't want to change since it matches the interior really well and seems to be kinda integrated into the dash.

Thanks for the suggestion guys (and girls ), keep em coming!
I'm not sure if any of you read my post in the intro forum, but the reason why my family is getting this car is, our 2002 Hyundai Sonata blew the tranny, so we're kinda disgusted by that and are selling it right now. I reccomended the Solara, cuz we have a Celica that's been in our family for awhile and we're very happy with it. My mom hates how the Accord Coupe looks and what I've heard from Altima owners wasn't too encouraging, so that pretty much leaves the Solara the only candidate. Depending on when the Sonata sells, I expect the Solara will be in our driveway shortly after New Years.

if your getting the sports package, then your getting the bodykit with it (its standard on sports packages..unless yours didn't come with a sports package..)
I'd say clear out your headlights (remember there are no corners for gen 2 solaras)..some of you
Lower it, get a thicker rear sway bar and trd front strut bar (get rid of that 20 dollar looking oem bar that comes std). I think that should be it..it would look like a wicked stock car....

Sounds good to me
An oem body kit is fine, I'll only get yelled at for putting on an aftermarket one myself

the family car profile normall doesn't include a solara but i guess in your case it does. wish that was how my family was like. Get the tints, get the rims, but remember your car might look weird with rims w/o a drop. i suggest getting a drop with TEIN's and something. get then nice and smooth. i've always love those lip spoilers but it doesn't look too hot on my camry. The spoliers like the is300's i think a solara would look nice. but then again that comes into line with you bodykit rule. How about some interior lightting. some little minor neons? like for you leg room?

Yea, for now I'm thinking do the tints, then when I have spare $ drop & rims. Oh actually the TRD tower bar and thicker swaybar are higher up on the list, prolly together or right after tint. I don't wanna do too much to the car, again, it's gonna be someone else's daily driver, plus I'm not made of money as it is
Thx a lot for the input gang, I appreciate it. Keep it coming, my main focus is prolly handling thou.
