No harder than any other car. You don't need anything custom, everything necessary can be purchased off the shelf.

Any Toyota is pretty easy to install a system into. If you have any specific info, or just need some help, let any of us know. I have worked in Car Audio for 7 years now, and as you see in the Audio and Video section, there are a TON of knowledgable People out there.

There are ways to do this, but it's not really the best way. It's been a while since I talked with anyone about them, but I think that they're called line-level inputs. They allow you to hook the rear speaker connections into the amplifier. There are also converters that do the same thing (the speaker wire goes in RCAs come out). I think there is some pretty bad signal degradation, but I guess that would be something you have to live with if you want to keep the factory deck.

you can integrate into the JBL system no problem, in fact becauase you will be feeding the JBL amp a cleaner signal, your system should take a hike up in quality

And TADS: ur right bro a line-level converter (or hi-to-lo converter) You will loose say 20% of overall quality, not bad considering that you are leaving the rest of the system stock.

PIECE!

So I have to part with my stock stereo?....I kinda like it, (that and the fact that stereos are like 2 hundred bucks!)....

you do not have to part with your stereo at all, its just not as good of quality as the after market.

Cool, haven't lost all my knowledge since I left the car audio world (at least in a professional sense) 7 or 8 years ago .

^ This is the wiring harness you need.

http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOTA03B

The normal Toyota wiring harness will not work with the premium sound systems (ones with a factory amp).

Hmm...

I thought that all Toyotas with the factory amp need the special wiring harness.

Is it only certain models that need them?

So it looks like I'm wrong. Oh well I have a 88 Camry anyways, so I don't have no stanking factory amp.
