3sgte swap into I4 solara

Does anybody know how difficult it is to swap an 3sgte motor in a i4 solara? Will the v6 tranny work with this motor? If not what tranny could i use with this motor?

cutom mounts wiring etc like any other swap... yes tranny will mate.

price in the cost of a celica cut, + a month of labour (if you arent doing it yourself..which of course you wont be because youre asking)

This is what i'd do...buy a decent celica (for shell purposes), and then swap in the front clip to that celica (remember 5th or the 6th gen..i shouldn't really matter what u use for your shell). Keep you solara i4, going that route (ie. buying a shell+clip+swap) will be cheaper than swapping it into your solara!

I forgot the exactly tranny code, but there are two tranny aviliable for 3SGTE FWD/AWD set up. one is more for street and one for rally racing. But you need to prepare at least $7000 first for serious engine mod. If you dont have enough funding, you will get stuck on your project.

Do a search for 3sgte Camrys on this site, the process is almost exactly the same for a Solara as it is for a Camry.
