Question on Stock Brakes

My mom has an 02 Solara (4Cyl) and Im wondering how long the stock pads usually last? Her car has ~37K miles on it right now.

OD switched off, even when not in 3rd results in major power loss/rpm drop.

i change my pads probably 2-3 times a year... bendix ultimates... dont think they dont last long.. its just i spend a lot of time braking hard :P very good fade resistance and therye CHEAP!

Well the answer is, they last as long as they last. Do a lot of highway driving, theyll last quite a while. City driving and stop and go, about half the miles they will last as highway.

I rotate my tires every other oil change. This is the time i inspect mybrakes, i do them if they need it or at least take a look at them to see how much pad is left. I change mine sooner than recommened so mine would have no less than 5-6 mm pad left before i change em. And usually even more. Its a normal wear item and im not worried about saving $25 on pads so i change em when they get even close. That way i dont have to buy rotors too unless they really need changing.
