Changing Automatic Tranny Fluid in '03 Solara

This question is for all the people who own the 1st gen Solara equipped with the new 2.4 liter 4 cyl engine. I did a search for this topic but did not find anything.

Has anyone here changed the ATF in their Solara? If so how many quarts of ATF do you put in it before starting the engine and running the gear selector through each range to add more fluid?

Thanks for the replies!

Ask the dealer to look up this info for you, cause thats the only place where you can get toyota T IV fluid for $4 qt. Use no other fluid Toyota says it will mess up your shifting if you try to use any other kind.

if your just draining the fluid out and filling it back up it will be between 3-4 qts depending how long you let it drain, I would put 3 in and then run the car and check and adjust the level as needed
