mods? lowering/handling, bodykit, exhaust/intake & taillights?

Hi guys. I have the Solara SLE V6 and it is almost identical to a Lexus ES330 in many ways i.e. super smooth and quiet. However, I really would like to have sharper handling in this car. The car makes the stock 17's squeal, even at 35psi. Also, I am interesting in exploiting the VVTi's growl, without being obnoxious at cruising speeds. I was hoping for a high quality intake (injen?, etc) and an exhaust of some sort. Finally, some different tallights would be nice. Too bad no S/C for VVTi motored Camry/Solara V6's.

Car is currently leased, so no rush other than the intake. Plans to buy it back are considered.

Anyways, anyone driven a Camry SE V6 or have the Camry SE's or Solara's SE sport suspension?

I was hoping it would make a difference in taming the swaying/leaning without making the car ride like a subcompact or Corolla.

In short I was hoping to get info from you guys on:
1. intake (TRD/injen, etc)
2. lowering springs/struts/sway bars (TRD/eibach/bilstein, etc)
3. TRD S/C
4. Solara SE body kit
5. different taillights
6. exhaust (nice sounding i.e. TRD?)

I'd imagine the gen1 TRD Supercharger can be modded to fit...just my thought. But you aren't gettin away with putting that on a leased. I'd be leary about changing anything at all.

That is wrong because gen1 and gen2 has completely different motor.

my dad has the sport suspension on his gen5 se camry, and he loves it. The slight drop makes it look awsome, and the rsb provides excellent cornering traction, not very much body roll at all, definitly worth, plus its not all that tough to remove that stuff if you dont buy the car out after your lease

I have been looking into mods for my 05.. right now trd is very limited.. but I have been told that they are fazing out the trd foir the celica and building up the solara.. I know that Brembo has a brake in the works.. as for cold air intake and suspension I think it is going to be available late fall.. at least that is what i have been told..But as soon as I hear anything I will give you a heads up..

Welcome to the very limited aftermarket world for the solara. Product support for all three generations is limited, and what is available is pretty expensive. Get ready to search hard, and possibly have things made custom. Suspension work is a great place to start, I think you get the most for your money out of it.
