some ?s

Hey guys whatsup. Im looking into debagding my 99 and I would like to know some tips on how to make sure it leaves no residue and also to make sure it looks like I didnt do it I know that they have double stick tape to hold them on. I want a clean body. I also want to know how to get that little protector off the sides near the doors. It is on the right lower corner on the driver side, Im not sure if there is one on the passenger side. More ?s are, what are the power numbers on a 99 SLE v6 to the wheels, stock quarter mile times, and gas mileage. Thanks for all the input fellas. Peace out

As far as debadging goes, its hella easy to do well. Heat up the emblems with either a hair dryer or (carefully) with a heat gun for less than a minute. Work some fishing line or other strong/thin string between the emblem and the body. The majority of the glue should come off, but what doesn't can be easily removed with some bug/tar remover from Autozone or whereever and a little wax.

I'm assuming you mean the little rock guard thing in the bottom corner of the door. They peel off, its just a clear tape basically. Be careful though, as they paint underneath prolly won't match the rest of the body... I found that out the hard way.

As far as numbers go, I believe its 200 hp at the crank, and with an auto 170 wheel, stick prolly 180ish. Quarter mile times range from 15.75-16 sec, and as far as gas mileage goes, I get abt 400 out of a tank w/o ac on.

99s have the pegs that hold them in place on the body so you really gotta be careful with those.. I found valuable information from Inner Auto Parts it has a lot of automobile tips.. Thought it just might be of help to you guys too!
