Question 04 Solara - Repo - Too good 2 b true?

Ok here the deal...

Ya know the old saying if something sounds to good to be true it prob is? Well I didn't heed that advice.. Here's the story.

Went shopping for a used Solara today.. Drove several 02's with 50k + miles automatics but prices were a bit high or the cars looked rough.. "Friend" of mine that worked at the dealer told me about this car that was for sale.. a 2004 SE 4 cyclinder but that it had been repo'd and the dealership didn't want it .. so I figured what da hell i'll bite.

The exterior of the car had been professionally painted by toyota, beautiful... The interior .. well not so beautiful.. nit bad .. just dirty.. But the guy was only asking 13,500.00 on an 04' with 34K miles !! After negoiating.. claiming that I would have to spend 1000.00 for a leather kit ..yadda..yadda I ended up paying only 12,500.00 for the car.. Still under warranty..

Well .. not a single interoir light works. Maybe a fuse? ok let me check the fuse box.. well ..where's the fuse panel? let me check the manual..wait .. where's the manual?

HEEELLPPP...

THanks in advance
Chris

Welcome to TN.

There should be a fuse panel on the left side of the dash where your left knee would be, it might be a coin holder that you need to pull out, or just a panel, i don't rememberr.

There should also be a fuse box in the engine compartment above the left fender.

Maybe a dumb question but did you check the dimmer knob for the interior lights?

Are you positive you checked the fuses correctly? Seeing as how you didn't know where the fuse panel was and all...

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Wink Fuse Fixer for gauges

Aight kid heres the deal. I went through the same thing. If you have no dome lights open your engine bay fuse box and look for the only 7.5 amp fuse. replace it. Those are strictly for your domes. Now as for the gauge cluster lights, pull open the coin holder on the bottom part of the far left drivers side. Take it out and look at the back of it. Look for your 7.5s in here. almost all your accent lights are run by a 7.5 amp fuse. Now look for the fuse for RAD. NO.2. This fuse is for your gauges, ashtray, lighter, and accesorie plug lights. This should fix your problem. Let me know if this doesn't work kid. I'll get you squared away.

DUDE! That's a helluva deal! considering the payoff for my 04 SE 4cyl is like 19K HAHA even if the lights need to be fixed... Enjoy your car, hope all is well...
