My Car Just Konked Out!!!

I have a 2000 Solara...Today I was driving and it just quit on me..., was doing about 65mph on the interstate w/the cruise control on. I felt it jolt once or twice, then proceeded to pull over. It just died.
A couple of weeks ago the engine light came on, but then went out!

It won't turn over. All the electrical works. The battery has water in it and is charged.
I had it brought back to my house on a flatbed!

Anyone have any ideas what the prob could be?

thank you!!!

could be a lot of things..
were there any fluids leaking under the car?
when did u change ur belts?
check ur transmission's dipstick, give it a little sniff...if it has a burnt smell then ur transmission is toasted.

DK,

What is the "crank"...sorry...not very automotive literate here!

I brought it to the shop today! He is going to do "diagnostics" on it...for $77.00.

Then he'll be able to tell me what he thinks it is!
thnx,
Paul.
