Question Oil in spark plug hole??

Hey everyone quick question, when I did a tune up on my car last night I noticed oil on the spark plug boot from the #4 cylinder, when I looked down in there I saw a puddle of oil. Is there some kind of gasket or gromet that could be bad that is causing oil to get in there? And if there is do I need to take off the valve cover to get to it?? Thanks in advance everyone.

The seals are broken. To fix it, replace all 4 seals, valve cover gasket.
Make sure to check the tubes, to see if they are messed up.

Good Luck,
Calvin

Yup it was the seals, none of them where broke but after replacing them and the valve cover gasket there is no more oil in that tube or any of the other ones. Thanks for the help bro.

oil in plug hole

The oil will eventually short out the plugwire, causing no ignition fire to the affected cylinders as I found out yesterday with my '94 Camry on 2 of the cylinders.

Agreed, oil in the spark plug tubes and plug boots, bad! I had that problem with my old car, '99 Altima GLE, only it was cylinders 1,3,4
