Congrat on your new car.
Solara is a good car. Take good care of it and it will out last many many cars.
You should first check when was the car get tuned up.
Just follow your owner manual, starting from basic maintenance.
Oil change, air filter, new coolant, new transmission fluid, new brake fluid, plugs and wires, etc...

wow you got a really good condition car. considering it a 01 w/ only 37k.

congrats on your new car & welcome to the forum.

you should probably just change out all the fluid and check the rotors and brake pads.

Engine, and any moving parts on it, such as the waterpump. Transmission, driveshaft's.

There probably isn't anything wrong with your car at all, those things are pretty bulletproof.

Check the trans dipstick, if the fluid is brown and not pinkish red, go get your trans flushed.

It would help if you got info on the previous owner. If it was cared for, you shouldn't have to worry about anything for another 20 or 30k miles. But just like any car, if it was drivin hard the first 3k miles, it's gonna have a higher chance of problems...

As long as you ahve the remaining factory powertrain warranty about hte only thing you may have problems with is water pump, crank and cam seals tensioner and idler pulleys. SOmetimes they will go out in the first 60k miles but not very often. If you get the t-belt replaced before the 60k mile mark or 5 years whichever comes first you may be able to get those parts replaced if they need it at the time you do the belt. BEsides that the only other thing is maybe the transmission pan leaking a little bit around the gasket. We used to replace those under the powertrain warranty fairly regularly.
