Forgive me for being behind in technology, but I was reading my owners manual for my 2005 SLE Solara and it stated that the car has a
Event data recorder in it.
This device in a crash or a near car crash event may record some or all of the following information:
1. Engine speed
2. Whether the brake pedal was applied or not
3. Vehicle speed
4. To what extent the accelerator pedal was depressed
5. Position of the transmission selector lever
6. Whether the driver and front passenger wore the seat belts or not
7. Driver's seat position
8. Front passenger's occupant classification
Couldn't this be considered a violation of privacy???
