Gen1 Need help - body kit rear bumper problem
I had a local speed shop install the TCSportline Solara body kit. The shop said it's known for good fitment. Well, he took off the reinforcement bar for the stock rear bumper and says it does not fit with the aftermarket bumper. Has anyone ever encountered this before? It won't pass inspection without the reinforcement bar and there could be insurance issues to worry about too.

Also, I originally wanted to install lips instead of a full body kit but the shop said that lips weren't available for the Solara. Is this true? Where do you get the real TRD kits from? What's the website?

The 7 piece TRD kit has been discontinued, the only way to buy it now is to find one used, and youll most likely have to repaint it.

thanks...I feel a little better knowing the shop isn't totally clueless....I'm still trying to work out the reinforcement bar issue...any suggestions?

You can still get them new from certain sources. Ebay sometimes also.

could vis and tcsportline use the same manufacturer or facility? i have noticed similarities like this with other kits and wondered how that happens

Would the bumpers have their name on them? I'm going to check them myself but any help would be great.
