Ooh V6 Solara 5Spd

You can do all kinds of things to that car performance wise.

Check out JoeB's solara, and also if you haven't stumbled upon www.solaraguy.org yet, that's definitely a valuable resource for Solara owners.

One of the fastest Solara V6 5Spd's was from a guy on Solaraguy by the screenname of Ericsol.

If I had a V6 Solara 5Spd, these would be on my XMAS list.

Tokico Struts, Eibach Springs, (or one of the many available coilover suspensions)TRD Rear Swaybar, TRD Short Shifter, www.jpperformancellc.com Headers/Y-Pipe/Catback, TRD Supercharger of course, with the www.urdusa.com fuel system upgrades, SAFCII Air/Fuel Controller, Rotora Big brake kit, man there's a ton of stuff for your car.

Start saving

That was a looong time ago, but he did have a nice ride. Check out Rizal's T66 turboed Solara, it's almost complete. He is the man when it comes to V6 5spds.

The shifter knob is stripped, because someone over-tightened it. I've got a Razo knob, but there are others you can get.
The max size of rims you can get are 19x8.5 rims with +35-40 offset and tires 235 35 19. I've got that size with +35 offset and JIC coilovers (which my tires sit mm away from). You'll definately have to roll the rear fenders, which is easy to do.
The only light mods are the altezza rears. I went and got my stocks smoked (just click on my pic below to see them).
I don't know about the xenons, I've got Sylvania Silverstars which I like very much. I've had them for a while now, others had theirs burn out quickly though. But, if you like HIDs, there's a guy on
SolaraGuy who's selling a kit for our cars.

You have a 2001 so your headlight uses H4 bulbs for its highs and lows. As stated by astro you can find a sticky on solaraguy.org on HID's. I currently have 9006 6000k Mccullouch HID's. Mccullouch has a bad rep about ballasts being blown and I think its true. I had mine blown, and 2 friends of mine with the same kit blown. If you do decide to get Mccullouch make sure you get a warranty. Other brands are Phillips, Catz, Hella etc. these tend to be more expensive.

here is the kelvin rating:

3000k Yellow
4300k White
5300k White-Yellowish
6000k Blue/Green
8000k Blue
10000k Pink/white
12000k Purple

The higher the kelvin the worst the light output. Anything above 6000k is pushing it, but does look cool.
