Gen1 New Guy needs input

Wassup guys?

I am new to this forum, and have owned my 99 Solara SLE for 5 months. Love the car, this thing can move!

But, I wanna post a question to the forum, and see what you guys think...

I upgraded my brakes to the stage 1.5 cross drilled/slotted discs up front, and matallic pads all around. (SP racing rotors up front, Hawk pads all around, OEM rotors in rear).
Now, here is my issue... One of my discs is warped... had an old lady cross me on the highway and I had to brake hard as hell to avoid ramming into her at 65mph, and came to a complete stop in a hurry because of her ignorance... damned New York drivers...

I cant find a machine shop in the city to cut the rotors, because I dont know if they can be cut. Or atleast they say that because of the slots, they cant do it... So Im looking to redo the work, yet again... but like everyone, I dont want to break my wallet.

A Big brake Kit would be an awesome but costly upgrade. But, in my research, I noticed that one of the camry guys used Supra discs on his gen3.

I was wondering if any of you has done anything similar... cause, I been thinking of using Lexus Gx300 discs (11.5-12 inch) but Im not sure if they will fit, they have the same lug pattern, but the top hat that covers the bearing spindle, and the offset(if existant) of the disc may be different from Solara/Camry/ES300, and I will definitely have to get spacers to move the caliper outward to fit... Probably order them from stoptech, or fabricate my own.
The whole reason for this, of course, is that Im thinking of obtaining a supercharger, which is why more stopping power is on my mind. Not only that, Im going to get Tein ss coilovers, and 18" rims. The bigger discs will complement the whole theme. But Im not into bodykits, and the like, a stock look is my thing.

Any ideas, or info is greatly appreciated.

I think its best to have brembo blanks with some good pads. Also dont forget to upgrade your brake lines. And you mentioned some camry's using supra rotors. That is just a caliper relocation kit that allows you to use the supra rotors. Im not too sure if you can still find them being sold. And most shops wont resurface slotted rotors, but there are some that will.

The cheapest Big brake upgrade kit was for $1300 at www.horsepowerfreaks.com And check the stickies at www.solaraguy.org for the $1700 brake kit.

Thanks for the input, I have seen the stoptech, and brembo renditions for our cars.

Both are attractive, but like I mentioned, costly... I was attempting to use current toyota offerings, like from either a GS300, or something similare, to use the rotors off that vehicle and retrofit it to the solara. It would cost less, and yield more stopping power than the stock rotors.

I am looking into the brembo blanks you mentioned, but in all honesty, bigger is better, I could see myself buying the supra calipers, and a relocation kit, or machining my own if necessary to fit our cars, the question lies more in the rotors of existing toyota/lexus vehicles, which are larger than our stock ones, to provide more stopping power.

Thank you once again for your input guys... really appreciate it.
