I agree the negotiations are BS. It's a race, car vs car whatever is on it. Not, "Oh, he has NOS, I need more lengths." No, it's you vs them, car vs car as-is.
One problem I see with this is the number of BS-ers there are getting on the show. For example, when we were told that the replacement for the Beetle was the 2JZ Cressida, and they said they were "asking him to limit to 10.5's", we knew something was shady. Upon further research, we found that the car runs consistent 9.2's in the 1/4. Hardly an even match for a short-based FWD car. The Skyline would be a more suitable/matched run for the Cressida.

No dice, the Beetle didnt finish the project until this week so the race was a wash. There was a 9.2 sec. 2jz-gte Cressida that was supposed to replace the Beetle if we still made it out, but we were delayed by the hydraulic transmission conversion.
On a better note, the midshaft on the driver axle split as if it were plasma cut on the first test run. Thank goodness that didn't happen in a title race.
The Beetle is still interested in a run for cash/charity, so if the driver/builder is up for it, we may cash in the raincheck.
Pinks has invited us back for another title race at our convenience, but I think the next time we will be sporting an R34 GT-T.
That would cool to see a charity race against the beetle or something. How fast do you think it is? I have heard they will run in the 10's with a turbo but it costs a lot of money. Plus they break a lot.
Why would you put up a r34 GT-T on pinks? Isn't that a lot to potentially lose?
No, when the Beetle failed to meet completion we canceled the hotel. The Cressida came up shortly after, but having canceled and having heard about the Cressida, it was in our best interests not to go
I would love to hear more about the Cressida being 99.9% Toyota fanatics. I read somewhere about the 2 Mustangs he obliterated! Great to hear imports are tearing it up in representation these days. I was starting to grow weary of domestic dominance over the show. I'm very proud a fellow Toyota fan took the cake AND ate it last weekend

That host guy look like a gay ass when hes standing in between the two lanes doing his hand motions.
Yeah it's crazy
I've been watching a couple episodes this week and boy, that one where he wipes out on the speed bike is so priceless. There was this other episode where his father was with him at the beggining and his "My father is here" speech was so gay it made me burst out laughing.
The episodes where there are a lot of people watching in the stands are better because everyone looks stressed out and it's really funny.

The Reason There Is Not More Imports On Pinks All Out. Is Put A Import Next To A Modified Vet Or Mustang. American Muscle Will Win. And When The Show Goes Around To Do The Races, Hard Core Drag Racers Run With American Muscle. Thats Why If You Look At NHRA. What Are The Makes And Models?

Ford Mustangs, Chevy Impalas, and Toyota Camrys in Funny Cars come to mind. Prostock I don't really follow because I don't quite get the point of them from an entertainment standpoint. I don't mind Pinks all out if you take it at face value of it getting in being like winning the lottery. FWIW, a Datsun Fairlady Z got to the final 4 on one episode. On Ep 9 this seasons some Chevy Vega hatch backs were tearing it up. Not import but small cars nonetheless.
