engine swap on a 2000 ce

hey whats up. well im prob getting my bro's 2000 corolla ce in a few months when he buys a prerunner and i wanted to get a new enigne thta is faster so i could sup it up and just make it a sleeper...prob is im not really sure what to swap in, i've thought of maybe either like a 02' celica gts engine or i've seen ppl drop h22's in corollas, but i wanted some other feedback on maybe what to go with.....thx

There is no easy engine swap for the 2000 Corolla. If you want power and you're just going to pay for it you might as well buy a turbo-kit for it. That would be more straight forward than doing the custom mounts, custom axels, and wiring hassel that comes with swapping in a 2zz-ge from a Celica GT-S or Matrix XRS or Corolla XRS. That being said, the swap is possible and has been done.
As for swapping in the 'lude motor, please . That is just wrong and silly. The A/T to M/T swap is going to cost you and arm and a leg if you pay a shop for it because it involves quite a bit of labor.
