Hi everyone! I'm a student in the so-called "Northland", with a oem dark green 91 MR2 Turbo. I had the car for a year, but wasn't driving it.. fearing high insurance costs, especially when you're in school. Fortunately, i found an unresistable offer at Progressive and jumped at the chance of $297/6months. Unfortunately, i got a speeding ticket 2 days later.
Anyways, I've started doing some searches and independent reading in here, but i hope i'll be able to get some tips and help from you guys too. Thanks guys. -dsw20t

Welcome to TN! I always loved that gen of MR2 you have a great platform to do anything with. Good luck with all that you want to do.

Awesome Car. If you don't mind me asking, How much did you get it for?

I'm kind of looking at mr2's but around here it's all like 8000 or the ones which are cheap are almost guarunteed to be beat up and driven hard.

You're right, it's hard to get one clean and cheap. Believe it or not, I flew to Seattle, Washington bought the car for $5000 (over-payed, i was so naive) ..luckily it didn't have any rust, but then drove all the way home (Twin Cities, MN).. in a 2-day trip just so I could attend a wedding the following day. Unfortunately, the clutch went out later that night...and i was pissed and relieved. At least i wasn't stranded somewhere in the mountains of MOntana. So yeah, if you're looking for one...fly out west, you'll avoid pay tolls...just make sure you get what you're paying for. -Ferry

ps. thanks Rick...hope to get as much help from TN as possible.

Welcome aboard, we're getting quite a group of Minnesotans on here. The guys in the cities were trying to put together a meet, but they're all too lazy or something or another, and now it's too cold. Certainly keep an eye on the Meets section in the springtime. Hope to see you around.
