USA Hi everyone! 1999 Solara

Hi everybody, its my first time posting on this forum and I am glad that this website exists. I know a 1999 Solara V6 SLE in white. I haven't done any real mods to this car other than installing a K&N filter and it has given the car a little extra kick, but thats about it. I plan to install a forced cold air filter and maybe upgrade the computer. Anyway nice to meet you all and if any of you have any suggestions on other mods that will help my car get more power or better handling shoot away.

Welcome to TN. I see you're from Brooklyn, i was born there! Don't remember the place though.

Couple things. My K&N Filter I had in my 99 V6 Camry was a bit overoiled from the factory and messed up my mass airflow sensor, which in turn ruined my catalytic convertor. be careful with those.

If you'd like a real cold Air Intake, you can get the injen Short Ram intake, then get the UPFD Cold Air Extension peice.

Don't waste your money on computer chips, they don't work in Toyota's.

For better handling with a nice smooth ride, check out the Tokico Struts with Eibach Springs, then get the TRD rear sawybar, and set it to Track.

Might want to consider replacing your front strut mounts when changing the struts, also if you're gonna do the rear swaybar, I'd invest in Energy Suspension re-greasable polyurethane swaybar bushings.

For Exhaust, IMO the only way to go, albeit kinda pricey, is the kit from www.jpperformancellc.com

Their exhaust was made to work well with the TRD Supercharger. The SC is the best thing you can do to make any real power out of your engine.

Have fun.
