Ay brand new member writing brand new threads..
neways i was snooping around the net doing research
on how to mod my Matrix XR..and found out Injen CAI
would probably be the best mod to start with..
But I still got some questions on its performance..
Injen claims + of CAI will add 8 hp.. Did nebody done
1/4 mile run on Matrix XR with and without CAI? Is there
a much of difference? Don't wanna waste $ 310 dollars for
nothin. And speaking of dollars, any of u know where
I can get it for cheaper price????

ebay is your best bet for price... i ordered an intake off ebay for about 140 with shipping and it should be coming in on tuesday. as for performance, an intake works better in conjunction with other mods. no intake, alone, will cut seconds off your 1/4's and it probably wont cut any 1/10ths off your quarter mile times as well... you wont feel any difference but it does make your car breathe better. as for specific quarter mile times, you'd hafta ask someoone else on this forum. hope this helps. and welcome to toyota nation

about mods what would maximize my engine under 1~2 k line..
i was thinking about intake, exhaust, ignition wires ....
plus tint windows and some other light exterior mods..
but i need some professional advices from someone who have
mod their Matrix XR ~~~
