My name is Louis and I've been into cars since 15, owned quite a few Toyotas and currently own an Audi A4 CVT Frontrak as my daily driver. in my past I have owned a 1980 Toyota Corolla, 1991 Toyota MR2, 1980 Toyota Starlet and 1992 Toyota P/U.
My favorite was a 1980 Toyota Celica with a built 22R, Dual Mikuni Carbs, ITG Filter, TRD Header, HKS Exhaust, Shocks, Springs, Supra Rear End w disc brakes, cressida brake booster, roll bar, and 15x7 0 offset Panasports.
Well I will soon be back into another as I have decided to pick up an AW11 (1st gen MR2) for my track/project car. I have decided on a SC'd version to run first in showroom stock SCCA class, then move onto Street Prepared with some suspension upgrades, exhaust, etc.
I will pretty much leave the engine alone, except for a rebuild, then after I'm done with street mod, I will prolly change out the SC pulley.
I haven't dealt with an AW11 yet, so any advice I could get would be appreciated, and any information on shops in So Cal to pick up parts and get additional info, as i plan to do labor myself - part of the fun of a project huh?
