Hello everyone. I just sold my beloved 93 Camry wagon, which has been in my family for 12 years.
I put all sorts of stupid mods into this car trying to make it anything but a nice family station wagon. 17" wheels (from a Maxima!), H&R springs, Tokico shocks, TRD strut bar, tinted windows, lots of speakers and amplifiers, Pioneer head unit.
But the age of the car was catching up and I was spending $1000 a year just maintaining it. It was getting unreliable for long distances.
Then two months ago a relative gave me their 2001 Camry because they were moving away. With 3 cars, keeping the wagon made less and less sense.
Ugh.. Compared to my wagon, the new Camry is so undesirable -- mushy suspension, skinny tires that squeal so easily, no moonroof, ugly gray interior, no map light, and, worst of all, not a WAGON! Even my wife complained about the lack of steering precision. On the plus side it's newer (obviously) and more powerful. I don't think I could baby it the way I did with my wagon though.
