"new" to MR2
Hi all,
I'm Ed from central NY State. I'm a professional firefighter, who at age 51, decided to get a 2 seat sports car for my wife & self to enjoy during our summers up here (BOTH weeks).
No Fiero (too many problems), no Miata (too much $$), just a nice original, reasonable MR2.
It's an 88, 80K miles, 5 speed w/sunroof - no power options on this one - just plain and simple. The previous owner did a nice job of maintaining it mechanically; all it could use (but doesn't really NEED) would be a fresh paint job. Interior is excellent; just about NO rust, a few scratches, 1 ding - and the faded plastic bumper areas - just a nice driver.
Hope to learn more about MR2's on this site. My main concern is keeping it mechanically sound - doesn't matter how good it LOOKS if it doesn't RUN!
