Hi. Just joined to see if I can get help with a mold smell from ventilation system. Have a '98 Camry LE, bought from Dad. Unplugged the ac vent but still smells, can vent system be cleaned? By whom? How? Thanks.

You can try taking the evaprotaro box apart to see if there is water standingin it. Maybe the drain for it has clogged and not letting the water drain out therefor causing your mold smell. Unfortuantely to be able to clean the ventilation system is going to be hard since all of the duct work is behind the dash. THere are chemicals you can buy at auto parts stores that you psray in the cowl intake for the venitlation system that may be of some help to you.
