shocking experience

I have a 2002 Solera. I really like the car except for one major thing. After I exit the car and touch it I receive a major shock. It is like a static electric shock. It is so severe sometimes you can see the "lightening bolt" between me and the car. Does anyone else have this problem.

Everything shocks me all the time. Cars, door knobs, chairs, people, everything. My technique is to pick out my keychain when I approach a metal object and I touch the object with a key first. Then the object shocks the key, not me. Pretty tedious, but better than the shock.
