Hello just got my first Toyota, 2010 Corolla S. low miles 45,000. i love the quality of the car. the mechanics of the car are well thought out. What is the the best manual to accuire? Haynes or Chilton? I like to do a lot of my own maintenance.
Hey, welcome to Toyota Nation...:hi:...and also congratulations to you on buying your first Toyota!
As far as which manual is concerned, that can be like discussing religion opinions are so strongly held, but for me I'd take Chilton over Haynes. Another option is to purchase a two-day subscription to Toyota's TIS, which is the online/electronic version of the FSM, and then download whole sections or the entire thing for reference from files on your computer or print out on hard copy. Many members have done that option. It's a lot of work, but it's also cheap at $12 for the two-day subscription, if memory serves.
Welcome! I haven't bought a manual for years but I always thought Chilton's was a better choice. For my Camry I just come here. We have Step by step threads on most things, check out the stickies at the top of your models forum.
