#1 KEEP the oil fresh and change it frequently. Google:Camry engine sludging. It's operator neglect NOT a flawed design.
#2 Use only red antifreeze, if you have green in there, get it out!! The green stuff is more abrasive and will cause the water pump and radiator to fail.
#3 Buy a new Toyota or Denso PCV valve at a Toyota site and install ASAP. They cost $5 or less. And while your there order a small case (5or6) of Toyota oil filters. They are the best value you can find. High quality filters for $5 or less. Proper oil pressure is important.
#4 OEM parts are hard to beat in quality. Do some research and find out what companies made parts for Toyota. Names like Denso, Advics, Aisin, etc. You'll be able to find those parts on line A LOT cheaper than you can get at your local dealer. Dont be fooled by other parts manufacturers advertising. Stuff like Toyota OEM spec'd pads, filters, plugs, shocks, springs, struts, etc last a long time.
#5 Under normal circumstances, Once the front end is aligned right, you wont ever need another alignment. Toyotas usually dont go out of alignment. And Dont get it aligned at a tire shop
#6 Dont fall for those mileage based "regular maintenance" packages
#7 Enjoy your car. With minor regular maintenance like keeping fluids/filters fresh, youll be on the road more than in the shop.
