Hello everyone!

My name is J.R. and right now I'm in the market for a small midsize SUV for my wife since we are expecting our first child Aug 10, Jonathan Reese . My wife is not liking the fact of having to drive the baby around in a 95' Firebird, so I'm going to do my best at getting a new Toyota 4Runner OR Highlander.

I figure this would be a great place to get suggestions about picking the right vehicle. She doesn't like leather and prefers white or the Mill silver exterior color. V6 model, 2WD preferred. Of course safety in our concern too. We have driven both and I'm letting her decided. I really love the handling of the Highlander in the city as oppose to the 4Runner, but the wife always wanted a 4Runner and it's slightly larger.

Hope to talk to most of you and learn about yourself as well as your suggestions on these vehicles. I'll be looking through many of the forums to find out any useful information. Thank you.

Well, today I just purchased a Drifwood Pearl SR5 4Runner with 17" alloys, tonneau cover, double decker cargo system w/ cargo net, black roof rack and cross bars, Leather steering wheel and shift knob, Power 8-way driver/4-way passenger seats, Daytime running lights, and Carpet Mat Set for $28396.

Note to self, don't let dad do the talking next time I think I could have gotten it with lesser options than I needed around $27000-27500. Oh well, wife is going to be surprised when it gets delivered and I have it hidden in the garage hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.
