Hello from the UK

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but have been a Toyota lover since my teens, I'm 65 shortly. I'm in the UK & I have a Carina Mk2 Hatchback which I bought new in 1984 and up until a couple of weeks ago it was in daily use, Unfortunately I have broken some glass in it and it's garaged for the moment. I will create a thread in the relevant section and post a few pictures of it shortly. I also have a Camry 2.2 Automatic, Beautiful car, I couldn't bear to part with it, floats down the road like it's on air and purrs like a kitten. I do all my own maintenance and they always pass the MOT's no problem.
Here's a photo to be going on with,

Hi Mate Well I haven't actually asked yet, I thought it would be more polite to say hello to everyone first, but there doesn't seem to be many about But ok I will go for it as I guess the sooner I ask the sooner I may get help.

I mentioned in the top post that I have broken a piece of glass, well the glass I broke is that rear right quarter above the rear right wing. I believe that this model was sold over here as the Corona and I would be forever in your debt if anyone could please help me find this piece of glass, I can't use the car without it and it could finish her for good.

Hello there CarinaBob, and welcome to TN! What year is the Camry? Can't say I know much about the Carina, but the Camry's reliable as an anvil with decent maintenance.

2015 RAV4 Limited, AWD, tech pkg, Barcelona red metallic, 31k miles
1996 Avalon XLS, ABS brakes, super white II, acquired w/ 139k, now at 352k
1992 Camry LE, V6 (3VZ-FE), ABS brakes, dark emerald pearl, owned since new. Replaced HGs @332k, totaled at 384k miles

Looking at your piccie of the Carina ll, above.....

Is the broken window the rear quarter [triangular], pillar rear door/hatch opening, shown in this picture. Right hand side may be read differently = sitting in drivers seat or standing facing the headlights?

Usually, right-hand side = passenger side (for us crazy 'Mericans!). So for you guys, I think RH-side = driver's side.

Hi mate, I believe the right hand or indeed left hand is refered to a person sitting in the drivers seat, that way it does not change if it's left or r/h drive. Yes the glass I need is the one you are looking at in the picture above

ooh! I hope so, but what's the chances of getting one shipped without getting it broken. I was an Airline Pilot for 35 years and at times when I flew freight I used to watch the loaders throw everything irrespective of it's markings or warnings

.... they allow a 'request' contact, I think. Just ask = start a relationship.

They are in NZ... We aren't.

Hmm yes I have been trying to do a parts request for the last 15 minutes, they are not geared up for International, the system balks at Uk addresses, it refuses to move on saying things like you must enter a Zone, I persisted and thought I had completed it as it finally dissapeared when I clicked on complete, but now when I go to my parts it shows no requests and asks if I want to do a request!
