I've had my 2005 Tacoma for just over a year now and love it. It's been put to the test numerous times up in the Rockies and hasn't failed me yet!
I do have a problem now, however. My house was broken into a couple nights ago and one of my master transponder keys and remotes was taken, amongst other valubles.
I found a locksmith that says he can cut blank keys, reprogram them and re-do the tumblers on the truck. Is this something that is possible outside of the dealer? The dealer wants $1200 to redo everything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
