Australia Making an old Cruiser new again

I drive a 1985 Landcruiser GX Turbo Diesel Wagon. It's a great vehicle of course and does a lot of work towing horses around northern New South Wales (Australia) It has about 460,000 kilometres on it. Instead of updating. I am thinking of putting the cash into it and doing a complete overhaul. I'd like some feedback on what should be done to bring it back to it's former glory.

Been there, still doing that. Do it for love, but you'll be turning the cruiser into a BOAT. (Bring Out Another Thousand).
Cheers and Good Luck.
