Went Hybrid

We're not new to Toyota as I've had the wife in a '92 Camry LE since we drove it off the lot as a new car. It has only 144k miles but we were thinking of passing it down to my daughter who will be leaving for college next fall.

So... we opted for an '07 Camry Hybrid. There are only 2 real players in the hybrid market (Honda and Toyota) but the Accord V-6 Hybrid just doesn't measure up to the Camry for what folks buy a hybrid vehicle for. I also think Toyota's hybrid technology is the most advanced out there.

Ours is Magnetic Grey Metallic (a really pretty color) with moonroof and heated mirrors. I really wanted the NAV unit but was trying to avoid having to get the leather and moonroof packages. My 15 year old son is 6' and I was concerned he'd be pinched for headroom with the moonroof. Our '92 has it and it's tight back there for him.

No such problems in the '07 Camry. Stats show you only lose .4" headroom in the rear by going with the moonroof.

Haven't even burned up our first tankful of gas yet but the MID says we're averaging around 34mpg jaunting around in town.

Toyota has a winner in the '07 Camry Hybrid!!!
