new guy with a few questions

I proudly drive a 1988 toyota pickup that runs like a dream. 22R engine with 230,000 miles.primered off paint job and a custom flat bed with a ladder rack.(work truck) not to mention led tail and back up lights. I recently took on the task of working on a 88 22RE. I took a 22R (working doner truck) and change it over to the 22re. My problem is now the engine will not start. I checked the timing twice, any help would be greatly appreciated
