Dumping the Cadillac

Going back to Toyota! Just trying to decide Camray, Camray Hybrid or . . .Avalon?

The folks on the Cadillac Forums are in total denial their cars are junk compared to Toyota's. Even with the following problems, they still think they have the best car on the road. Total DENIAL!
I've had it with our SRX. With only 13k miles on it, it has annoying rattles and creaks in the dash, a rattling Ultraview roof and a drivers seat that shifts slightly everytime I take a turn. All of which has been to the dealership multiple times with no satifactory results. An 'a/c off' control that is probably the dumbest thing I've seen on an enviromental control panel, a hood release that is just below and the same style handle as the parking brake release handle, of which most people end up poppin' the hood open instead of releasing the brake (sucks when it's raining), much worse fuel economy than advertised etc, there's more to harp about especially for a $40K+ vehicle, but then I'd be nit-pickin'. I do like the ride, however, I had a 1986 Toyota Landcruiser with +180k miles on it with fewer rattles, squeaks and problems.
This is my first Cadillac, sorry folks, but the quality just doesn't cut it for me. In less than one year of ownership, this one is getting traded in before it loses any more value (which it doesn't hold either).

Welcome back. I've seen more than a few local Caddy owners ready to throw it in. They figured out the performance and looks, but still fall woefully short on the build quality.

Hope you enjoy your stay

Thanks for the welcomes! Really looking forward to getting back to Toyota quality & reliability. My wife says I'm biased because I'm half Japanese, but she also admits the Caddy quality is lacking, especially after our good experiences with the Cruiser & Solara.
If it weren't for the sweet ol' step dad at 83 yrs old, still selling Cads for over 50 yrs. and us being the only family member to buy a car from him, we would'be never ended up with the SRX.

The step dad doesn't need to know we're dumping the Cad, he'd probably freak, and besides, he lives in Seattle. See ya around on the forum!
