Funny Story About My First Toyota

My first car was a 76 Toyota Celica GT. It was a beat up piece of crud and was orange. It ran like a champ and on my 17th birthday my friends "stole" it and spray painted "01" on the sides of it just like the general lee. It was the poor man's general lee with a torn up interor, busted e-break, rust in all the right spots. Anyways, I drove it with a sort of embarassed pride, taking my date to prom in it and such. (I didn't score that night....hmmmm). So 4 years later it was time to sell it and get a toyota truck and I called Cars For Causes. They give cars to less fortunate people so they can get to work and better their lives. With a serious tone I describe the car to the nice lady over the phone and she just stars laughing at me. It wasn't what they were looking for. Crestfallen, I called later that month and had the car towed to a salvage yard due to transmission problems and engine problems. I'll bet a little bit of the steel from that junked car is in my new '05 lifted Tundra that is my pride and joy. I really like this web site by the way. Nice people. I've only been on this site about 1 week. I am from Santa Barbara, Ca and I play the drums. Toured all over the west coast and europe. I like toyota and southern california the best. Thanks for having me.
