I'm Gonna Buy a Tacoma!
I'm introducing myself on this forum. I'm pushing 50, and have had American (Ford Taurus & Chevy Impala), Japanese (Honda Accord) and European (BMW sedan--I can't remember what model at the moment). My 92 Taurus finally blew a gasket, and I needed new wheels. What I've wanted for a while is a truck. Not because I need one on a regular basis, but because it is will make my main hobby---gardening---that much easier. Going and getting bulk mulch, moving plants, etc. will become limited only by my aging and increasingly achy bones, joints, and muscles.
Once the decision for truck was made...then I had to decide fullsize or a bit smaller? I don't need the hauling or towing capacity of an F150-sized truck, so the smaller scale vehicles became my focus.
Looking at the trucks made by American and Japanese companies, the Tacoma could not be beat. I'm talking safety and satisfaction and retaining value. I don't expect to sell mine, but knowing that I can't find a used one from 2005-2006 with 20-50K of mileage for more than a couple of thousand less than a 2007 model makes me sure that this is the right vehicle for me.
I'm looking for a 4i manual 4x2, preferably in indigo pearl. If you know of a sweet deal on one, drop me a line here.
