Well I finally bought my first car, a 1987 Corolla SR5. It's not my dream car, but I've always been a fan of the body. It could use a few things, mainly I'm having a problem with my FM radio not getting any signal. Besides that the rust is pretty minimal and it runs good for being underpowered on hills. Otherwise it's been good to me and should be for another 170,000 miles

I always thought it was a unique color, and I've gotten used to it and actually kind of like it.

I'm enjoying the sunroof, especially the fact that there's only a small amount of surface rust and no leaks.

That is a pretty sweet body. Finding cool, older Toyotas like that in good condition is such a good feeling.

Yeah when I first got ahold of it before I owned it the outside looked decent but the interior was a wreck. I don't think the car had seen much more than a car wash or a wand in many years. Cleaning it recently many black scuff marks on the roof, doors, hood, etc, have come up with a bit of rubbing.

I didn't take many pictures before I started to clean it but here are 2 to let you get a good idea on what it used to look like:

No shit, everytime you drove, as soon as you got out you got the strangest feeling you HAD to wash your hands. It was disgusting! Who knows, maybe we will find some treats in the 4Runner if i get it...

What's hilarious about the thread to you?

Either way, the little TLC I did made it a perfect daily driver. While not perfect it'll get me from point A to B with not too much of a boring ride along the way.

It's all the additional posts by bigtrucknwheels, I just found it funny but I'm not laughing at your car if that's what you're concerned about
