Sugar in Gas tank

Hi, This is my first post. I just had 10lbs of sugar dumped in my gas tank! My 2005 Tacoma 4 door pick up is in the shop now. Toyota don't offer a lockable gas cap. What is my best option?

Check an auto parts store. They usually have locking caps for most vehicles.

Damn, did you piss off the wrong person? My pops was the first owner of my truck and he had an issue in Mexico where someone siphoned out all his gas in the small town that my grandma is from. I too should invest in a locking gas cap.

Sugar does not dissolve in gas thus not as bad one thinks. Any autoparts store should sell locking gas caps.

Correct. Sugar will not ruin the motor. This was tested on Mythbusters. The only thing it will do is clog the fuel filter and fuel pump.

After I posted this I got "smart"(?) and looked thru' some previous postings ---- yup I was not the 1st one to have this happen, duh, anyway I've got a rotating gas cap and know about the risk of some codes coming up and have a work around planned out.
