Question about Leveling Kits

I have a 2005 Tundra Double Cab 4x4. I would like level the front end and back end but I was concerned I might loose the smooth ride I currently have with this truck. My question is will a leveling kit make my truck ride ruff? If not, what is the best leveling kit to go with? Thanks

If you use a steel leveling kit, you will be able to keep the factory ride quality. However, when using a polyurethane leveling, kit a spacer is usually installed between the coil spring and the top of the strut. This puts preload on the spring which can stiffen up the ride. It has been reported that the polyurethane kits can cause over-extending of the strut which may cause premature failure.

After installing a leveling kit, you will need to have an alignment done.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know how much it would cost to get a steel leveling kit installed on my tundra? And where? Thanks
