Looking for an XRS

First Post!

I have always had Corolla's. My first one was a 1972. It lasted to 225 miles and I sold it when I found a 1989, Black, 5 speed Corolla GTS. Loved that car. At 280 it finally became so problematic, I had to get rid of it.

I am currently driving a Honda Civic. But I been looking for a black, 2005, 2006 XRS Corolla. I thought I had found one, but they sold it the day before I got there. Maybe next week? These cars are rare on Long Island.

Be well.

First off, welcome to the board.

IMO, the Corolla Xrs is a great car. It's a perfect mix of sportiness and economy. I drive mine to work daily, getting about 30 - 32 mpg, and also autocross it occasionally.

It's a comfy little sedan when I need it and a quick, nimble compact when I want a little more excitement in my ride. The 2zz with the 6 speed gearbox cure my boredom from the daily commute. It's also quite competitive at autox in H stock. With a good set of autox tires, and a decent suspension setup would easily make this car a competitor in its class (mated with a good driver of course). I don't think anybody would be disappointed with this car.

P.S. Hitting lift makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Found one. A black 2006 XRS, in Florida. 16,400 miles.

It is being shipped up as I write this. I can pick it up from the transported either Thurdsay or Friday.

OK, where do you put the front license plate?

I don't want to screw it into the bumper

Late welcome!!!!

Don't drill unless you get a fix it ticket, lol.

I used a L shaped bracket on my girl's solara for her plate (since she didn't want to drill visible holes either) so she leaves it on during regular days, but if there is a meet or show it comes off.

Nice Rolla btw!!
