The New Guy

Hi guys and girls,

Stumbled across this site trying to look for some info

Anyway I'll cut to the chase... I'm Jose, 24 and I live in Australia. Currently a bum lol (just finished studies and trying to crack it into my industry) and I come from a family of Toyota owners In the family we've had 6 Toyotas (KE70 Corolla, YR22 and TCR10 Tarago, 2 JZZ30 Soarers and a NCP20 Yaris)... all of them purchased brand new except for my 2 Soarers (and all of them are manual except for my Soarers! )... planning on making that another sometime this year or next year (Lexus IS250). Gotta love Toyotas, they are unstoppable! But you guys know that already...

Anyway here's a little on my Soarer...
* 1997 model (1JZ VVTi single turbo, auto), black on black
* Custom CAI (hacked airbox ) and TRUST SP exhaust system
* Lowered (springs for now but planning on getting coilovers)
* Stock body (again, planning on getting a nice bodykit)
* Trafficstar RTS wheels
* LexRX D2S xenon retrofit (in the works)

And in case you guys are wondering what it looks like... (ps. don't flame me about the Lexus badging, they came with the car... besides, they're all made by Toyota anyway).

I do have big plans for this one (aero, coilovers, 500hp ) but it's all down to when I get a permanent job and when I can get a daily driver, which is looking to be the Tarago minivan (which I've always wanted to modify as well lol).

See you guys on the forums

Jose

Try to get something cheaper than a Camry, That way you can have more money to work on the Soarer,

Fair comment, however I find Camrys to be crazy reliable... either V6 or 4 cylinder, it doesn't really matter much (might go with the 4 cylinder, gotta see how much more economical they are).
