Canada VW refugee ... be kind.

So all my driving life I was a Vdub fan ... more specifically the Mark II and III GTIs. I had a few MKII GTIs and an MKIII that I loved ... when I moved to Edmonton about 2 years ago I decided to go with a 2001 Jetta VR6 ...

It was great to drive when it worked ... I never had a problem with the engine it's solid .... but the rest of the car is a total pile of crap.

Anyway I had always had respect for Toyota, sure they don't pack a punch like a VR6 but they do last forever and get from A to B without a whimper so yay for that

So I picked up an Black 08 Matrix TRD edition yesterday drives well ... power is fine but I didn't buy it to break the speed limits.

anyway just wanted to say hey and I will be asking lots of questions

welcome aboard bro..

I've been driving toyota's all my life, specially because my parents are toyota fanatics. We have never had any problems with the past 4 toyota's we've owned. Only reason we sold each one was to upgrade to the newer chassis.
You'll love the matrix in the sense that it will probably never give you problems.

I've moved more into the honda scene because i'm a hardcore tuner. I have a swapped civic and what not, but I still have to admit, Toyota's reliability is untouchable. You will probably agree in a few years, assuming your matrix will be like any other toyota and not give you problems!
